A part of the summer grazing allotment. Before the summer is over cows will make it almost to the top of the mountain. There are no fences on top, so the cows can and sometimes do find ways to cross over into the next valley. We eventually find them in the fall.

Before the cows are moved to the forest, all the fences need to be fixed from the snow damage. Snow drifts like this one can wipe out several feet of fence or bury the fence until late July.
